Melody is a licensed marriage and family therapist who brings over ten years experience in the field of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders to Whole Life Recovery. Melody began working in the field of addiction facilitating Prop 36 substance abuse groups which worked with court mandated clients in the Orange County court drug treatment programs.

Prior to joining Whole Life Recovery, Melody worked at a residential treatment facility where she served in roles of not only therapist but case management, quality and compliance, and program management. Melody received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Science from Concordia University and holds a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology from Vanguard University.

Melody was trained in Psychodynamic Therapy however takes a pragmatic approach to therapy utilizing a variety of modalities. Additional areas of clinical specialization personality disorders, codependency, family dynamics, domestic violence, crisis intervention and with at-risk youth. Melody is currently in the process of becoming certified in Neurofeedback. Melody’s focus in treatment with clients is helping clients to increase their self-awareness, increase feelings of self-worth through insight, develop more effective coping skills and challenge them to sit in the anxiety and try something different. Outside of work, Melody loves to spend time with her husband and daughter.
